Hangin' with my creeps

Deb here from Craftin Chaos. I just recently bought 3 stamps sets that I loved the second they were released last year from There She Goes on a Stamp Swap facebook page. There She Goes Stamps are not in business anymore but I loved these images so I asked if anyone has them to sell and YEA someone did.

I don't own copics (one day I will maybe) I normally do not color images cause its just not my thang but I wanted to try it so I did this image all with a watercolor brush and Tim Holtz distress inks. I did use a little Inktense pencil on a few spots.

I used a paper piercer to put holes close to his feet to put my twine through to make a rope. I made a kinda flower out of the Kraft Black one of my absolute favorite twines.

I made a button that I thought was cute and used it on top of the twine flower. I think it turned out pretty good.

Roasted Chicken Recipe card!

Hello from sunny Singapore! I am back after a seemingly long hiatus! I have spent the past 2 months traveling and finally back home waiting for work to start!:P

So aside from scrapping, I am also trying new recipes to pass time! Here's my roasted chicken recipe card I created mainly from the June Embellishment kit! Love how cute it turned out! And of course complimenting it with the Oh Snap stamp set! 

By the way, there's the link to the awesome roasted chicken recipe! Trust me, it was really good! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and really SO SIMPLE! BIG PLUS, you can use the natural twine to truss your chicken!

Guest Designer Saturday - Teacher Thank You Box

I have a fun 3D School themed project

to show you today using Timeless Twine Watermelon Sorbet. Shop HERE.

For this box, I did NOT add a clear window piece over the apple cut out. I left it open so that the teacher could slip her fingers through the apple to grab a paperclip or two.

For the sentiment tab, I stretched the size to fit the box width and also extended it's height. By extending the tab height, I was able to stamp my sentiment then score a line to fold the bottom of the tab. I inserted this folded part into the box top allowing the sentiment tab to stand straight up behind the box.

I also cut an extra piece to insert into the box bottom for a flat surface for the paperclips to rest on. Without that extra piece, the box folds had paperclips sliding under them.

Embellishing with Twine

Hello everyone, Isha here! Today I am sharing a up-cycled gift card holder and sharing how wonderfully twine can be used to embellish any plain looking creation :)

I turned an audio cassette case into a gift card holder and check the photos as to see what I mean by a bit of twine really makes a big difference in the appearance :) Love my creation with added twine.

Summer Beauty

Hello, crafty friends.  Julie O here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. Although it's still summer, there are signs of Fall in the air.  But, I'm not ready to let it go yet!  I have a summer card to share with you today.  It uses some of my favorite products and favorite things -- twine, doilies, stamps, and butterflies.  Oh yeah!

All Pink with a Sense of Wonder

Karen N here from Craftily Yours sharing with you a card that I think is pretty-in-pink!  Sometimes, I get in a mood to craft with one certain color.  Does that ever happen to you?

This card features Timeless Twine in Bubblegum Pink and a stamp from Unity Stamp Company {Sense of Wonder} that is colored with Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Markers.  The paper is Kneehighs from Basic Grey.  The lace is from 3 Girl JAM.

August Guest Designer, Janis - Pocket Full of Sunshine

Happy Saturday! It is another fun Saturday with Janis, Our guest designer for the month of August. 

I have a fun project to show you today 

using Timeless Twine Aqua Blue, Lemonade Yellow, and Pumpkin Orange

For the pocket cut and Sketch Pen Stitching, here's what I did:

I placed the pocket cut on my software mat and sized it how I wanted it.

Then I highlighted the outer cut (pocket shape) and selected NO CUT.

I then highlighted the stitching lines and changed it from CUT to SILHOUETTE SKETCH PENS.

Removed the blade from my Cameo and replaced it with the Silver Sketch Pen.

Clicked CUT (which really used the pen to draw the stitching).

Left my mat in the Cameo.

Highlighted the stitching and clicked on NO CUT.

Highlighted the outer pocket shape and clicked on CUT.

Removed my sketch pen and replaced it with my cutting blade.

Clicked CUT.

I think it turned out pretty cool!

Now on to my projects I whipped up super quick.  That is the best part of great products.  Simple to use and it can look so beautiful without a bunch of embellishing.  It only took me about a half hour to create both of these projects.

First I created a lil' gift card holder using the Anytime Tag Die Set.  I simply folded some card stock and placed the die just beyond the fold so it wouldn't cut the fold.  Die cut the Thanks sentiment and then stamped  "you're the best".  And some fun Firecracker Timeless Twine and done!  So fun and super easy.

Next up I made these super cute clips for my Filofax planner I just got!  These are perfect for keeping place in a book or adding to a card or scrapbook layout.  I die cute the bows from fun paper and attached them to paper clips using some Timeless Twine.  These lil' bows are AMAZING and I will be using this die a lot with the upcoming holiday season approaching.
