Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday Crafty friends!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today with a birthday card.  My son was invited to a classmate's birthday party this weekend so I thought I would make her a card.

I used the Strawberry Cupcake twine for my bow.  I think it matches perfectly with the colors of the cupcake.  I used the Scalloped Circles from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to make my card base.  The inner scalloped circle is also from the Scalloped Circles cutting files.

The cupcake is from Birthday Panda Cutting files, also from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Sweet Birthday Wishes.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!

We're the best of friends!

Happy Wednesday to all, it's Brianna from Happy Scrapper!! I am so excited to share my twine-tastic project with you. Anyone who know me, knows I love cutsie, whimsical projects. I hope you will see that, by the card I'm about to share with you

I decided to use, one of what seems to be my go to twines, Raspberry Pink to accent my card. I added a bow to my little girl toast and then outlined the word friends, using my glossy accents. This stuff works wonders when trying to make shapes or outline anything because it holds really well and dry's clear. I am sure you are wondering where these little cuties came from!? I got them from the "Stuck on You" set by Lettering Delights. I decided to hide their faces, so I could use some of those oh so sweet Peachy Keen face stamps!! I finished my card up by adding a flower embellishment that I got from
my local scrapbook store.
Also don't forget you still have time to join in on the fun challenge we have going on, right here on the Timeless Twine blog.
Deadline for challenge entries will be May 31, 2013 11:59pm (EST)
Hope you will all find time to join in on the fun!

Have a fantastic day everyone!!

*{Getting Past Pouty Monday}*

Mondays are never well received in our household by anyone. This hits our baby dog (who actually isn't a baby, seeing as how she's almost 6)  Nutmeg hardest it seems. She is a cling on dog and she demands constant contact. Everyone leaving her is not acceptable...being stuck with me is apparently, also unacceptable. The layout I created using Graphite Gray and Cape Cod clearly shows everyone what Meg thinks of Mondays. She literally pouts and the kids tease her and call her big baby dog. This is definitely something they will want to look back on and remember.

She's ridiculous, but we love her dearly.

I used Graphite Gray Cape Cod for the stitched circles:

Here's hoping your Tuesday is remarkably better than Pouty Monday!

Thank you...

Hi there!
This is Ana Maria from

As many of you know, I'm a middle school teacher. And today I made a thank you card for a parent volunteer who has graciously decided to clean our staff room.

I absolutely LOVE my colleagues but I've gotta say... some of them are disgusting!!! We've got 3 microwaves, 2 refrigerators, and a toaster oven that have all seen better days. This parent is a saint for offering to clean out. I made this card and one of our administrators is getting her a gift to go with it. We are ever so grateful to this parent =D

Twine Air Freshener

Mandi, here with a pretty homemade air freshener that is decorated with twine and washi tape.
I love to collect empty glass spice jars. I love that they can hold small things, make great vases and now air fresheners.  I added the grey twine around the top to hold the tulle and green twine pom-pom in place and I also glued it in between the tape.
You could fill it with potpourri or do like I did and fill it with baking soda and essential oil.

You Rock!

Hey All!! It's Kristy here sharing a rockin' Father's Day card with all of you!!

Mother's Day is out of the way and now it's time to get those Father's Day cards ready to go. Here's a quick and fun card that totally rocks! You could use this card for any man in your life; it's not just for father's.

I used the twine as the guitar strings for this. I think it adds the perfect "realistic" touch to the guitar.

For this card I used the Natural twine.

If you haven't noticed, this twine is amazing and goes with EVERYTHING!

Thanks for taking a peek at my card today and I hope you all have a twine-tastic day!!

Cover it with twine!

Hello Twine-tastic Friends!

Melissa here with a CAS (clean and simple) twine banner!

I love banners and pennants and I always seem drawn to the stamps and die cuts that include those shapes. I thought it would be fun to make my own and let the twine shine on the card!

With a heavy embellishment like this banner, I thought it would be best to keep the rest of the card CAS.

So easy to do--cut a banner piece, run it through a Xyron (or cover it in adhesive, wet or dry, but for this I wanted dry) and start adding the twine! Make sure you have some seriously good fabric scissor to trim the edges too!

A quick iphone pic:

I love this color, Firecracker!

We have a fun monthly challenge going on right now! We'd love for you to play with us!

Sketti please!

Hey There!! Debbie from Bugjuiced here!

I am so excited to show this project!! It just popped into my head one night that I wanted to make a shadowbox for my kitchen. I love these fat chefs (I can relate to the big guys....ahemm.....me likey to eat!)

I created this chef myself in Silhouette Design Studio....I love this program! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I used the Timeless Twine's "Natural" colored twine for my "Sketti" and then I knotted up the "Cherry Red" to make some-a-meat aballs!! I put a couple strings of speghetti and balls on the page to add a little to the page. I used some really nice Momenta Metals in the corner.

I used a checkered pattern from the Silhouette Studio since I didn't have any checkered paper. I had some really cute spoon, fork and knives charms so I added them to the "Bob's kitchen" tag.

I put Bob's kitchen on the tag as a joke because everything I make I show my hubby and I always say do you think Its ok, do you think I should add something and he always says well you could put "BOB" something or other on it here or there so to make him feel good before I showed it to him I put that tag on it.

He was quite happy. Its the little things right! ha ha he is a character. I can't wait to make something to add his fishing pictures to. While we were on vacation he took up fishing and he had a lot of fun. I am not saying that the vodka cranberry cocktails he had didn't enhance the adventure but it was so fun to watch him and he always does goofy poses for me as I am snapping his pic. Quite the ham he is.

I purchased this shadowbox (well it was a tshirt display thinga doohickey) it was $9.99 but I had a 40% off coupon but when I got to the checkout it rang up $4.99 so then with 40% off it was a deal right!

I curled my twine as I had told you how to do in a previous post. These probably aren't the best photos its really hard to photograph something with glass on it. I took the first one before i put it in the box.

I hope you like it!!
