{To My Sweet Friend}

Debbie with Bugjuiced here today sharing a card I made still going with the "NEW" theme. You were to use a new technique, new product or something just new to you. Mine is sewing. I got a brand new sewing machine 2 years ago and it remained in the box until I decided to bust that baby out and try my hand at it.

I think the older I get the more dangerous I live...hee hee I know sewing is far beyond what most people think is dangerous but if you know me then you should probably know that
me + needles + thread = disaster! Yep, I don't usually attempt any more stunts with needles and thread. Once I ripped a hole in my pants down on my lower leg area and thought "what the heck I can stitch this up without removing my pants"... I mean why take the time to remove the pants? Didn't make sense to me so I proceeded to stitch my pants and was pretty darn proud of myself if I do say so myself...well what do you know those pants were now attached to my socks! Its a wonder I wasn't bleeding profusely. Of course I was hand sewing no machine was hurt in the process. Wow that would have been something to see if I attempted this with a machine right!? Can you picture that? I can.

So thus my sewing capabilities were a bit lacking you can say. That was probably 35 years or more ago so I thought maybe I was mature enough (cough cough) to attempt this sewing thing again. It was relatively painless set up cause I did me some readin' of the provided documents (this is a rare occurrence, normally I just dive right in and learn the hard way) Now the thing I must confess is that I own 1... yes 1...you heard it right spool of thread! So a shopping trip to Joann's is a necessary thing for me soon.

I have to admit I loved it and I think I may find myself being a sew-er (sewer just didn't look right) I want to spend some time with my mom she can sew anything and have her teach me a few things. I want to sew me one of those cute little scrap bags for my desk.

Ok so anywho my card I used a zig zag stitch (wow I seem so knowledgeable about this sewing thang!) and just went around the pattern paper I adhered to my kraft card base. I love polaroids so I decided to just create a little "photo" so that is what I did. I used an image from the Car Decals Cricut cartridge. Stacy told me how to make the cute flowers she did on this post and so I made another one of them for the card front. I am in love with these flowers. Again a tutorial will be happening. I used Pumpkin orange cause it was a great choice with the paper I used. It matched the orange in it perfectly!

Puppy Cuddles

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!!

It's Kristy here from Scraptastical Kreations sharing a fun layout with all of you! I hope you all are staying warm in this crazy arctic weather we're experiencing across the country! So, as you know our theme this month's theme is "new" and since it was crazy cold out this weekend, I spent it scrapping our NEW puppy. I've been eagerly waiting to scrap a page of her and I finally captured this super cute photo a few days ago. I'm so excited that I now get to use a NEW color on my layouts - PINK!! Yes!! Ok.. ok... let's take a peek at my layout.

Here are a few close ups

Those gold letters - to die for!

I misted the wood veneer, but I think I should have colored it with a marker instead, or just have inked the edges black or done something different. It's hard to see what it says, which is "The Sweetest Thing". On the hearts, I used stickles and I'm VERY impatient when it comes to waiting for things to dry, so I heated it with my heat gun and low and behold I got this really cool "crackle" type effect on them. I love the texture it gives!

I LOVE  how the Timeless Twine Tuxedo Black and the Bella Creationz Valentine Parcel Tags add the perfect touch to this layout.

For this layout I used the following

Bella Creationz Valentine Parcel Tags
30 Small Valentine Gift Tags Parcel Tags - Red, White & Pin Valentines Tags

SALE - Tuxedo Black Bakers Twine - TIMELESS TWINE

Coordinations Cardsock
Recollections White Cardstock
The Paper Studio Patterned Paper
The Paper Studio Puffy Alpha stickers (Gold)
Recollections Bling Clips
Recollections  Bling
American Crafts Precision Pen
Signo White Gel Pen
American Crafts Remarks Alpha Stickers
Studio Calico Wood Veneers
Stickles - Gold
Sequins

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a twine-tastic day!

Hugs,

Kristy

Cold Hands, Warm Heart

Happy Monday, friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  The cold just keeps on coming here in NW Wisconsin.  It's -20 here this morning, warming all the way up to -15.  And the wind makes it feel like -40.  It's a perfect day to stay indoors and drink hot tea, coffee, or whatever the hot beverage of your choice is.
You might even want to try this cute pocket card to warm you up...

The theme this month on the Timeless Twine blog is "new".  This is a new card style for me, having never tried one of these pocket cards before. I used a pattern from My Scrap Chick, cutting out all the different pieces on my Silhouette.  Here's the pocket, pulled out.

I used Krazy for Kraft Timeless Twine on the handle (don't want to get burned, LOL) and added a cute bow with it, too.

One of my try outs projects for Timeless Twine seems to fit today's theme very well, so I'm including it in this post:

It's good advice for a day of record-breaking cold, don't you think?
Timeless Twine colors used:
 Krazy for Kraft

Stamp, papers, and bling are from Close To My Heart.
I have some pictures on my blog today of a recent trip to some ice caves on Lake Superior, along with a few more details of these cards.  I'd love it if you hopped on over to my blog and took a look.
I think I'm going to write a message to my BFF about how cold it is here! She'll understand!

Boys Rock!

Hi everyone! Tara here with a sweet little baby gift for my friend who will be having her first 'NEW' baby in a few weeks! How fun to use these bright colors for a baby gift! All of the paper used for this project is from the 'Fly A Kite' 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye and the Timeless Twine that I used matches perfectly with it! For the card I created a big double bow that adds tons of personality to the front of the card!

I also kept the same colors of twine for the mini scrapbook  creating a smaller bow topped with a sweet tiny heart for a sweet baby boy! The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Lucky Stars set and coordinates great with all of the stars in this paper collection!

For more pictures of the pages of this mini album, please visit my blog! Have a great Saturday!

Sweet Birthday Wishes!

Happy Friday!!!

Hey Everyone, it's Ruthie from September Ninth Designs. This month, on the TT blog, all the Twine-ista's are sharing projects with a "something new" theme. That "something new"can be a new technique, new color of twine, new product from the store, or a new tool that we use while making our project.

I thought I would try making a card that has a "monochromatic" color scheme. A monochromatic color scheme is when one color used in various values and intensities (darks and lights). I chose to use the color purple. I found 4 shades that I thought worked well together.

I made this card for my sweet little Emily's, 2nd birthday. She is obsessed with Princess Sofia, so when I found this Sofie svg at LSHD, I knew that it would be perfect for her birthday card.

I cut Sofie at 3 1/2" tall. The finished size of the card is 4" x 5".

Paper: Recollections, Martha Stewart, and Core'dinations
Sofia svg: LSHD, Sofie
Face Stamp: Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-1320 In the Garden Face Assortment
Bling: Recolletions
My Creative Time Products:

I used the Timeless Twine's Purple Passion twine. You can find it, a ton of other colors, and lots of fun packaging in the Bella Creationz store.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

{February Candy Box}

Hey, Hey crafty peeps Madge here from Madge's Scrappin Lounge, and today I am so EXCITED to share with you todays project. It is super simple and super fun to make.

Who remembers the theme for this month??  Just in case you forgot it is "Something New"  and all of the Twine-istas have been sharing creations that may include, a new technique, new color of twine or a new product from the store that we have never used yet or using a new tool to do our projects etc.

For today's project I took some packaging of Washi tape and recycled it and made something "NEW" I also used Elli's Studios "NEW" paper from CHA Winter 2014and last but not least I used my "NEW" Timeless Twine!! Who is ready to see this super fun project??

** Take the plastic holder and trace the insert that came with the packaging and trace it onto a fun pattern piece of paper, next cut it out and fill the packaging with candy.  Decorate the small tag and tie it on with some great Timeless Twine!

HERE is the Strawberry Cupcake that was used. I also used a small white tag and some super fun envelope heart stickers seals

I hope that you enjoyed my project for today!!! Have a Twine-tastic day!!!
