Gift Ideas!

Hello, hello!

I hope our US twine-tastic friends had an awesome Turkey Day!

I (Melissa) have two gift ideas for today. One is a bottle tag hanger (perfect for jazzing up water bottles for a New Year's Par-tay!) and a gift card/bag holder!

This water bottle tag hanger was SO fun to make! Can you see the sequence in the vellum envelope?
The Black Kraft twine was a perfect neutral to tie together all the fun colors!

I got my vintage on with this treat bag! The Bella Creationz shop has a ton of fun gift packaging items. Little bags, big bags, doilies, treat cups. So perfect for this time of year for little treats or to make a gift extra special!

I decided on a brown/gold/red color scheme for this project.

Birthday Card Parade!

Hello Friends!

Wanna know what happens when I (Melissa S) get a kit + some gorgeous Timeless Twine? I bust out a TON of cards. These are my happiest crafting sessions :)

I'm loving the woodgrain paper and toothpicks!

 This is a glassine envelope.

Using vellum is a great way to tone down busy pattern papers! I had to use my scraps on this one so the vellum was handy!

I used a Basic Grey collection with coordinating embellies for all the cards. The Strawberry Truffle Timeless Twine matches perfectly!

Happy Halloween!

Hello Friends!

I (Melissa) seem to land on Holidays here and I LOVE it! Today I have some Halloween cards. I don't really send out these cards, but I love the colors and playing around. Hope you enjoy! Stay safe!

*special shout out to my teamie and friend, Annette Allen!! She totally helped me with this design. We were at Archiver's and I think about 3 hours had past and I was still working on this!*

Stitching and Smiles :)

Hello Twine-tastic Friends!

Melissa here with a fun stitched card. I used some stencils and Strawberry Truffle twine!

I don't have a sewing machine so I love, love, love hand stitching on cards. It's not the fastest, but just put on some crafty YouTube videos and stitch away!

Timeless Twine + Peachy Keen Stamps

Hello Friends!

Happy Fall! It's finally here! My (Melissa) favorite season!

Timeless Twine and Peachy Keen Stamps have been playing together and I love the cute images and the gorgeous new color from Timeless Twine, Autumn Splendor!

I thought this would be a cute way to give little treats around Thanksgiving. Fill the bag with Candy Corn or pencils. Or they could be little place settings at your Thanksgiving table!

That adorable orange polka dot die was sent to me from my super sweetie teamie, Cassandra! So perfect for this project!

The stamp set is 'Lil Tweets Thanksgiving
The twine is Autumn Splendor

Get Your Glow On!

Hi Twine-tastic Friends!

Melissa here today with a fun Halloween card using Orange Licorice twine and a stamp set from Peachy Keen, Jack O' Light.

How cute is that little pumpkin? I've never been a fan of "scary" Halloween so I like the kid-friendly images.
Stamping the pumpkin on the doily adds some fun I thought.
I decided the pumpkin is a "her" so she got a ribbon!

Twine Storage + Review

Hello Blogland Friends!

Melissa here today! August is almost over (now someone tell Mother Nature because we have a high of 93 degrees today!) and I wanted to show you how I store my twine as well as a look back at my projects this month :)

Here's the storage:

I have them on a kitchen item I found at The Container Store. It's really for lids but I think these were only like $7 each! I have 2 of them here, I need a new one for the new Sorbet colors!

I use my twine WAY more now that I have the gorgeous colors displayed!

I was having some fun with my iPhone and the panoramic feature. This is my craft room! I have to be able to see my stuff!

And a look back:

I used the Sorbet collection this month because I can't get enough of those colors!

From All of Us

Hello Twine-tastic Friends!

Melissa here today with a fun CAS card!

I had a piece of chipboard in a variety pack and decided to cover it with twine! I love the Key Lime Sorbet color, it's so happy :)

I think when you have a bulky embellishment, at least for my style, I tend to keep the rest of the card CAS.

We also have a challenge up and running right now. It's a sketch challenge that fellow DT member Mandi created for us!

Elephantastic??

Hello Twine-tastic Friends!

Melissa here today with a fun and quirky card!

We've been playing with The Robin's Nest all month and it has been so fun! I love those Dew Drops.

The lovely and always popular Timeless Twine in "Cape Cod"

These papers are gorgeous from The Robin's Nest! I decided to challenge myself and make a card for a little boy since the papers screamed anything but! I colored the Dew Drops with a Copic to get the color I needed. I added some texture by sort-of dabbing the drop, if that makes sense.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing lots of projects this month that incorporate Timeless Twine and The Robin's Nest!

Have a twine-tastic day and thanks for stopping by!

A Little Paradise

Hello Twine-tastic Friends!

I hope you're loving our week of play with Robin's Nest and Timeless Twine!

First, a card. The embellishment in the center of my twine bow is called a product from The Robin's Nest called a Dew Drop. They are so fun to play with! And the yellow paper I matted my flower image on is also from The Robin's Nest.

I wanted to play with the Dew Drops more! I created this mixed media canvas with intent to gaze upon the sparkly Palm Tree and wish I were somewhere breezy & laid back! The paper is also from The Robin's Nest.

The fun twine:

Always Look on the Bright Side!

Hello Twine-tastic friends!

Melissa here today!

I recently purchased a rainbow die and I wanted to play with my gorgeous twine ASAP!

Just run your die through a cutting machine, add adhesive (one of my fav's is the Xyron sticker maker!) and add the twine!

So fun! I love the font of that stamp set (it's actually my blog header font too!).

And I added some of Annette's fun buttons!

Cover it with twine!

Hello Twine-tastic Friends!

Melissa here with a CAS (clean and simple) twine banner!

I love banners and pennants and I always seem drawn to the stamps and die cuts that include those shapes. I thought it would be fun to make my own and let the twine shine on the card!

With a heavy embellishment like this banner, I thought it would be best to keep the rest of the card CAS.

So easy to do--cut a banner piece, run it through a Xyron (or cover it in adhesive, wet or dry, but for this I wanted dry) and start adding the twine! Make sure you have some seriously good fabric scissor to trim the edges too!

A quick iphone pic:

I love this color, Firecracker!

We have a fun monthly challenge going on right now! We'd love for you to play with us!
