A Gift for You

Good Morning.

I don't know about you but I love this time of the year.  I think one of my favorite things to see is the reaction on someone's face when they are opening their presents.  I love giving gifts, even if they are small gifts.  I have this cute little box to share with you today.  It is perfect for some Oreo truffles.  Mmmm Oreo's. ;)  Check out my gift box.

The box is the Kraft Natural Pinstripe Box from Timeless Twine.  To wrap the box I used the Olive Green & Cherry Red Twine.  I thought instead of wrapping the box in wrapping paper I would use the doily as a nice little accent.  I love how everything looks together.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great day!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thursday!!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here with you today.  Can you believe it next week will be Thanksgiving?  I know I can't.  It all seems to be going too fast for me.  Before we know it Christmas will be here!!  I thought it would be nice to send a little something to Matthew's teacher this week since school will be out next week.

I used a white bag from Bella Creationz and embossed it with my Polka Dots Embossing folder. I put a cookie inside of the little bag before I decorated it as well.  I wish I would have taken a picture of the cookie before because it was decorated so beautifully.  (Note to self: Take picture of the cookie before.  LOL)

The leaves and sentiment shape are from the Online Silhouette Store.  The sentiment is from It's all Fall Puns from Joy's Life.  The twine is Timeless Twine's Autumn Splendor.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Thanksgiving.

Baby Blocks

Good Morning!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today.  One of my dear friends is having a baby girl in January and I thought it would be fun to have a surprise baby shower for her.  Here are some of the decorations that I made.  I got this file from SVGCUT's Bundle of Joy SVG Kit.

The top of the baby blocks come off so you could add some candies inside.  I was going to add some jordan almonds but then I remembered that my friend's son has nut allergies so I scratched that idea.

I used the Bubble Gum Pink Twine and the Aqua Blue Twine to decorate the blocks.

I also used the Aqua Blue Twine on the buttons of the shoes.  I have to tell you it has been a lot of fun seeing so much pink on my scrapbook table lately.  It doesn't happen often since I have 3 boys.

Have a great day!!

You've been BOO'd

Good Morning!

I can't believe Halloween is next Thursday!  Why is time going by so fast?  Is it just me or has the month of October been flying by.  Speaking of flying by, Check out this cute little owl.  Isn't he cute?  I'm going to give this little bag to one of my girlfriends.  It is filled with some of her favorite candy.

The twine is Pumpkin Orange from Timeless Twine.  The bag is an X-Small Kraft bag and the Doily is a 4 Inch Doily.  Both of them are from Timeless Twine.   I used the Halloween Vampire Owl from Miss Kate Cuttables for the owl.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom Stamps, it's from the Bewitched stamp set.  I'm going to link this up to the Scrappy Mom Creepy Crafts Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

3D Camper

Hello Everyone!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today with a fun 3D box to share with you.  When I saw this 3D Camper from SVG Cut's I knew I just had to make it.  Especially since my family loves to camp.  The camper is from the Camp Firefly SVG Kit. The bottom piece is actually a box.

I used the Pumpkin Orange Twine to hang my banner with.  I love how the twine looks, it matches the orange buttons (tail lights) perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see what Annette made :)

Christmas Countdown Sign

Good Morning!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today.  I don't know about you but I can't believe that the holidays are just around the corner.  This year is going by way to fast for me.  I thought it would be fun to make a Count down to Christmas/Winter Break sign. I am absolutely crazy about Snowmen and have them all over my house during the holidays, so I wanted to stick with that theme.

I bought this chalkboard from Michael's awhile ago and thought it would be perfect for my project.  I bought some paint from Michael's as well and painted it green.  I used the Cherry Red Twine for the inside of my chalkboard.  I also used the Olive Green along with the Cherry Red to hang it.  The snowman is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Snow Peeps Cutting File.

I used the Snow Faces 1 1/4" for my Snowman's face.

I have a card to share with you too.  The scalloped circles are from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Scalloped Circles Cutting Files.  The watermelon is from PPPR's Watermelon Cutting Files.  The face is from The Cornies Face Assortment.  The twine is Cherry Red from Timeless Twine.

The sentiment is from the Veggie Sentiments ONE stamp set.

The Face is from The Cornies Face Assortment.

Thank You Card

Hi Crafty Friends!

I don't know about you but I don't think you could ever have enough Thank you cards.  I always try to have a couple of hand because you never know when you are going to need one.  I made this one for a friend.  I'm going to send it to school with my son tomorrow, so he can give to his friend who can then give it to his mom.  Whew!  That was one long sentence.  :)

I used the Lemonade Yellow twine for my bow and the Olive Green twine in the background behind the tag.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time's I'm here for you rain or shine stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.   Have a great day.

Thank You Box

Hi Crafty friends!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today to share with you a cute little Gable box I made.  I made it for one of my husband's friends at work, as a way to say Thank You.  Long story cut short, I thought someone was trying to get in our backyard.  I called my husband (after calling 911) and told him what was going on.  He sent his friend over to check on me and our boys because he couldn't get to us as fast as his friend could.  Thankfully we are okay.  The police couldn't find the person but still very scary.

I closed up the box with some beautiful Key Lime Sorbet twine.  I plan on filling it up with candy before I give it to him.  The green clothes pin is from the Neon Glitter Mini clothes pins.  It goes perfect with the twine.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great week.

Gorgeous Layout

Happy Thursday!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here with you today.  Aren't you excited that it's almost Friday?  I am. I don't know about you but there aren't very many pages in my scrapbook just about me.  I think there should be a couple, Right?  I took this picture of myself on New Year's Eve last year.  It's my husband's favorite picture of me.  He says I'm gorgeous.  Awww!  Okay now enough of the mushy stuff.  Here is my layout.

I used the Beautiful Purple Passion Twine on my layout.  I made the hearts & swirly background myself using my Cameo.  I then cut it out and added the pink polka dot paper behind it.  I used Tim Holtz' Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac to shade all around the hearts and swirl.  I did all the inking before I took it off my mat, it was a lot easier that way.

The title is from the online silhouette store.  In the picture below you can see the twine looped around the heart.  After I glued the heart down I just let the twine fall the way it wanted and then glued it down.

This heart is one of the hearts that was cut out of the background.

I hope you like my layout.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great day!!

A Le Creuset Cook Off Layout

Hi Everyone!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today to share a layout with you.  This layout is about a Le Creuset Cook Off I entered with my girlfriend and my Mom.  We were supposed to make a dish in a Le Creuset Dish or Dutch oven.  I made an Apple Crisp to enter into the cook off.  I didn't win but I did have a fun time.

I used the Natural Baker's Twine and turned it yellow using my Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade.  I really wanted it the twine to stand out that's why I dyed it yellow.  I love the way it came out.  At the end of the twine you can still see some of the Natural Twine

These little jars are actually stickers popped up on Pop Dots.  I used some Cherry Red Twine to tie a bow around the tomato jar.

I hope you enjoyed my layout.  Thanks for stopping by!
