Sequin/Shaker Saturday - A Non-traditional Approach

Hi again, friends!

It's spring!  It's allergy season!  It's time for fun, happy colors!!

Amber with Best Stamped Intentions with you today with a sequin/shaker Saturday project.

Typical shaker cards have a little bit of bulk to them that wasn't going to work for my purposes.  If something doesn't work for what you're needing, there's no rules that say you HAVE to do it a certain way.  Be creative!!

This is how thin the card is.

I guess you could say this isn't a traditional shaker card.
(I've always been a bit of a rule breaker. ;))

Here's the entire set that I made.

I am in {LOVE} with this 4x6 title card!  Before I put the sequins in, I tied a bow made out of Razzleberry Sorbet twine around the backer card.  I think it turned out great and it's definitely something I'll do again!

The smaller 3x4 cards:

I cut 3 smaller than the card strands of  Key Lime Sorbet twine and stapled them down on the card for some added texture.  The "Happy Spring" card is also a flat shaker and stamped with the Bella Creationz PlanNERD stamps, and the journaling card is stamped with the Oh, Snap! set.

(A slight obsession w/these stamps is happening here....)

This project was SO fun for me to do!  I can't wait for April to end so I can get my pics printed and get them and these cards right into my album. :)

Because She's Happy - Happy Hump Day by Amber

Happy Hump Day, friends!

Amber from Best Stamped Intentions at your service.
I've created a fun {HAPPY} Hump Day project for today's blog post.

What makes me {HAPPY}?
My little girl does, so what better way to celebrate that than to share a spread with you that I created for her 4 year old birthday pictures.

I wanted to keep this LO very simple because I wanted the pictures to do most of the talking.

I LOVE this "Because She's Happy" card because of how the "happy" border around 2 of the edges turned out.  These PlanNerd stamps are PERFECT for adding borders!!

I used the "Happy Days" stamps to make the "happy" border around the "Because She's Happy" card, and the PlanNerd stamps for the hearts on the "Love" card.  I also used "Bubblegum Pink" twine for an extra complimentary pop of color.

What makes you {HAPPY}?  I'd love to know!!

Move It Monday - Pocket Page Style, by Amber

Happy Monday, friends!!

Amber here from Best Stamped Intentions, and I'm up today on the Timeless Twine/Bella Creationz blog with a fun project incorporating {movement} into my pocket pages.

I found this tutorial on the Heidi Swapp blog done by the {fabulous} Kim Jeffress and died over the cuteness.  I had to try it.

I modified the instructions quite a bit to make this work for my pocket albums.  I created a 4x6 card that would be {perfect} for a title card for your Valentines Day spreads.

Before:

After:

Used in a pocket page:

The tag pulls right out of a 4x6 pocket to reveal some perfect for Valentines Day hearts!

How are {YOU} going to use movement in your next project??

I used Timeless Twine in Strawberry Cupcake, Bella Creationz Happy Days stamps, and Bella Creationz Sequins in Raspberry Pink Mix, as well as "Love Story" 6x6 paper pad from Fancy Pants.

Cold Hands, Warm Heart

Happy Monday, friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  The cold just keeps on coming here in NW Wisconsin.  It's -20 here this morning, warming all the way up to -15.  And the wind makes it feel like -40.  It's a perfect day to stay indoors and drink hot tea, coffee, or whatever the hot beverage of your choice is.
You might even want to try this cute pocket card to warm you up...

The theme this month on the Timeless Twine blog is "new".  This is a new card style for me, having never tried one of these pocket cards before. I used a pattern from My Scrap Chick, cutting out all the different pieces on my Silhouette.  Here's the pocket, pulled out.

I used Krazy for Kraft Timeless Twine on the handle (don't want to get burned, LOL) and added a cute bow with it, too.

One of my try outs projects for Timeless Twine seems to fit today's theme very well, so I'm including it in this post:

It's good advice for a day of record-breaking cold, don't you think?

Stamp, papers, and bling are from Close To My Heart.
I have some pictures on my blog today of a recent trip to some ice caves on Lake Superior, along with a few more details of these cards.  I'd love it if you hopped on over to my blog and took a look.
I think I'm going to write a message to my BFF about how cold it is here! She'll understand!
