Shake it Up!

Hello!  This is Cathy from
I'm part of the Creative Crew for

I almost get giddy when I
see I am scheduled for
Sequin Shaker  Saturday

I love making shaker cards!  I made
this one use a die with my Cuttlebug
machine, but if you have a Silhouette
or Cricut, you can do the same thing.

I used the Sparkly Clear Sequins and
mixed in a few Martha Stewart little stars.

The background is my second attempt at
water coloring.  I still have more work to do
but it's fun trying!

I hope you try your hand
at making a shaker card soon!

They are so much fun!

Fun Friday!

Happy Friday, everyone!  Ashley here from Marine Wife's Scrappin' Life for Fun Friday.  I have to apologize first off, because I completed my projects then realized just a few moments before posting that I was supposed to use a particular stamp set this month.  I'm so sorry, guys!!!

For Fun Friday this week, I decided to make mortarboard tassels with Timeless Twine, as I needed a couple of graduation cards and had never made tassels for a card.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

It's a little hard to see, but the twine is wrapped around a black brad in the center of the "mortarboard."

Supplies Used
Black brads--stash
Cuttlebug embossing folders
Timeless Twine in Cherry Red and Tuxedo Black

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend everyone!

Oh Snap - It's Fun Friday!

While I love making Mini Albums and
other time consuming things, what I think is
the MOST fun is making a simple card!

Hi! This is Cathy from the Creative Crew

Simple card making is something that is
more than fun to me, it's relaxing.  I don't
have to think too hard and it seems that everyone
loves the thoughtfulness that goes into a
handmade card.  I also want to share
my love of simple card making with everyone
and I think if my projects are too challenging,
people may give up before they start AND they
think "this is too expensive, I'll just go buy a card"
Whoa! Where is the fun in that?

My card only has two layers on top of the card base.
I did add a layer of foam to pop up the tulips, but other
than that, it's a pretty simple card.  My tulips
are embossed with my Cuttlebug and then I chalked them
for a soft look.  I used a sentiment from the
OH SNAP set from BellaCreationz.
are almost always a given!

I tried to show you the glitz on the tulips!  I used
my Wink of Stella brush to add a little zip!

When you look at this stamp set you probably
think photo albums, mini albums, project life
but I saw OH SNAP and knew it needed
to be on a card.  I hope you
like my FUN card on this FUN FRIDAY!

Thanks for stopping!

Throwback Thursday with Timeless Twine!

Hello!  This is Cathy from Mimis Craft Corner and
I am very excited to share with
you today a card I created using

For Throwback Thursday, we ask that
you go back to your PAST craft projects and
remake them today with a few twists and turns.

Here is my Throwback from 2012

I LOVE black and white cards, but I also love this
layout.  It's a combination of patterned paper and
an insert at the bottom that I ran through
the Cuttlebug.  The two papers are separated
by a piece of ribbon.  I love this format and could
make this card over and over and it will never be the
same.  Here's my updated card for today:

I added paper from the First Edition Spring Drop paper pad.
I also used my all time fav punch of Martha Stewart to
separate the two layers.

I added some sequins and

The sequins are coming soon to

Keep in mind the Sorbet Collection is
on SALE all month!

Have a wonderful Spring day!

Monochromatic Monday with a POP of Green!

March!  Yippee -- in Indiana we can
start thinking GREEN!
Hello this is Cathy from Mimi's Craft Corner
and I'm designing today for
Timeless Twine and Bella Creationz.

St. Patty's Day is just around
the corner, so in it's honor
I made a set of my favorite 3x3 cards.

Keeping with the Monochromatic Challenge, my
white card base is 6x3 along with another
layer of white cut at 2 7/8 x 2 7/8.
I ran that layer through my Cuttlebug for
some dimension.

I added a shamrock die cut and sentiment
from My Creative Time.  The sentiment
is stamped on a small label that I
cut with my Silhouette.  Just a hint, I cut
out an entire 12x12 sheet of 4 different
sizes of labels in white.  I have them in a
little photo box and can reach for them anytime
I need something special.

I did ink around very lightly with Tim Holtz
Distress ink on the label to make it stand out.

To finish off my card, I added

I can't get enough of these
You cannot believe how many projects you
will get out of your packet!

The Olive Green Twine is on SALE!
Don't wait on this one.  This is a staple
color you will use time and time again!

Thank you for stopping by!
I will be back shortly with another fun
post for Planner Sunday!  Don't miss it!

I'm loving my planners - yes I have more than one!
