Love My Firecracker....

Hello everyone Debbie here with Bugjuiced with my first post being on the new DT for Timeless Twine  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. I made a little "scene" to share with you. I wanted to showcase the new color "Firecracker" Aqua & Cherry and first thing that came to mind was to try to make a hot air balloon. I did this purely trial and error! I printed the pattern paper on my air balloon using my imagine and the cartridges "Spring Chic" and "Imagine More"

The balloon by welding shapes in Sure Cuts Alot. Then I cut a smaller circle in SCAL for the center section of the ballon. I bought a bag of Spools in size 3/4" x 1" and then purchased a dowel rod in 3/16th inch. I painted both the spool and the rod with Tim Holtz crackle paint in picket fence.

Next I glued the circle accent piece on each piece I had for the balloon. I used 5 pieces total to make up the balloon. I just used a fine tip sharpie to add stitching to it. I scored each piece in half and then carefully glued one to the other around the rod. I took the firecracker twine and went around all the edges of the balloon using it and then tied little bows around the base of the spool where the strings met.  I used a scrap paper that was left to glue around the spool.

I used a sentiment from Creative Time for Me's tiny tags to make a little flag at the top. I also used the banner kit set to make the banner and I used The Lemonade Twine for it. Love this yellow! I also went around the sun with the Lemonade twine.

The clouds and the sun were just stock images in Sure Cuts alot. I used a peachykeen stamp for the sun. I love peachykeen faces!

LOVE THESE TWINES!! Now run over and get you some spools of these awesome colors. There are so many to pick from!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Debbie
