A Thankful Heart

Happy first day of Fall, my crafty friends!  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. I come to you today with a thankful heart.  I don't take enough time to really look at my life and count my many, many blessings.  Some things happened over the last few days that made me do just that.  This card reflects my thankfulness for many things, including you, my fellow twine lovers.

This month, at Timeless Twine, we are using this for our inspiration:

I used the photo and the twine colors to create this:

I used some watercolor paper, distress inks and a water brush, and used a Stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  

The designer paper is Close To My Heart.  The chipboard leaves are from  UmWow Studio.

Aqua Blue

Hey friends,  its me Scrappin Madge! Today I have made a layout using the super fun fall colors that Timeless Twine has to offer!!! These colors went perfect with the layout!!! And they also added the finishing touches to my page!!!

 When I designed this layout I pulled out these old pictures of my sweet daughters while we were in California several years ago!! I it is crazy how fast that time flies! I love these two little stinkers.

Here is a close up of the twine.  I tied the colors together in knots for a fun embellishment on my layout! I made two of them, one on the top and one on the bottom of the picture cluster. Be sure to check out my blog for more info on how I created this layout!!

Happy {watercolor} Bird

Hello, and happy Wednesday, crafty friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  I have been so excited, just waiting to share this project with you today.  I had so much fun creating it!  I seem to be my happiest when playing with watercolors, ink, and of course, twine!

This month, we are working with the theme, Fly into Fall, and this adorable picture and color scheme:

One of our projects this month has to be something other than a card.  Using the inspiration from this picture, here's what I created:

This happy little bird was created with a  Unity Stamp of the Week, "Wishing you Happiness".  I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers and a water brush to achieve this look. I cut the oval shape out with a Spellbinders die.  The box was cut out on my Cricut, using the Close To My Heart Cricut Artiste Collection.  The designer paper is from  Close To My Heart.  The finishing touches are all those beautiful colors of twine wrapped together and tied in a big bow.

I used all 5 colors of Timeless Twine shown in the picture above on this box:

Fall into Fall

Hello, fellow twine lovers! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend!  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  Even though the calendar says 'summer', the signs of fall are everywhere.  Our temperature this morning is 48 degrees, and the leaves are starting to turn -- and fall -- in my front yard.

  Our theme this month is "Fly into Fall".  I've modified it a bit to "Fall into Fall" for today's inspiration.

I used the colors of this photo and came up with this:

I love September!  The days are sunny, the sky is a beautiful blue, the nights are cool, and the leaves are beginning to turn.  Outdoors looks just like the colors of my leaf-shaped card.
