Happy Holidays Card

Hi everyone, Maria here from Maria Lina's Creative Designs. For todays project I decided to make a simple holiday card. I used "Cherry Red" Timeless Twine around the tree and star, and the "Holiday Sentiments" stamp set from Bella Creationz.

I'm not a huge sticker fan, but it comes in handy when your feeling low on energy, so I used the two snowmen, bird and Christmas tree stickers from Echo Parks "Everybody Loves Christmas " page kit. This is from a much older kit (2010)... I thought it was time I finally put some of it to use, lol.

I used MS snowflake punch, baby blue rhinestones and the swirl embossing folder for the snow. Inked the edges and faux stitched using a white gel pen. Lastly, I built up the layers with foam tape.

Enjoy...

Nautical Christmas

1-1
Hiya! Ruthie here, today is my day here on the Timeless Twine blog. I was asked to create something with the Firecracker twine. I have friends who own a boat and I've been wanting to make them a nautical Christmas card. It worked perfectly with the colors I wanted to use.

Paper: Papertrey Ink (White), Stampin Up! (Old Olive, Real Red)
Ink:Stampin Up! (Old Olive, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise), Versafine (Onyx Black)

Special Delivery

Debbie from Craftin' Chaos here and I wanted to make something that focused more on the twine than anything so I made these cute little using that fork method I shared in a video. They are super easy to make and I love the way they turn out. I think it makes a super fun bow for the presents. My photo is not the best today. Its super gloomy here and even though I have a photo tent I just couldn't get it right. I am planning on investing in a better setup for when I have days where no matter how much I try the lighting just stinks! Photo editing can only do so much sometimes.

I used some sequins from Bella Creationz
The twine I used was "Cherry Red", "Firecracker" and "Olive Green"

★{Peppermint Sticks & Sparkling Spun Sugar}★

When I was little, my Auntie Catherine and Uncle Jim gave me one of the best gifts I ever received...The Nutcracker Suite album. Not only was it The Nutcracker Suite, it was a dual fold album with a centerfold of magical enchantment. I was instantly transported. I also received a Nutcracker book from Auntie Catherine and Uncle Jim, the year was 1981. This book is one of my very favorites because of the illustrations.

The funny thing is....I don't know that Auntie understands the impact this gift has had...each year much to my parents simultaneous delight and dismay...I performed the entire Nutcracker Suite in front of our fireplace hearth. I danced my wee heart out from the start of the overture to the final waltz. My Mom clapped with gusto in all the right places and my Dad doing his best to stay awake, they were amazingly wonderful parents. ❤

I was listening to The Nutcracker Suite today as I do every year, my creations today are a reflection of that.

Here's a close up of some of the details:

I used Cherry Red and Natural White - these and other groovy things can be found over at Bella Creationz!

Have a sweet Tuesday friends. Enjoy the magic of the season.

*{Finding Joy}*

"It's that time of year...where the world falls in love,
Every song you hear seems to say,
Merry Christmas
May your New Year dreams come true...."

Mr. Sinatra this may be true for some of us...but others are trying to run in the other direction. I am one of those gooey eyed dreamers who is already seeing snowflake bokeh everywhere. I like to think that it's contagious and I can bring you to the dark side...but I know this simply isn't true.

However, don't focus on all of those lists, obligations, "to-do's", etc. Don't let them creep in and bring you down, instead look for the kind smiles, listen for the giggles of the little ones, the magic around every corner...if you're looking of course. Your time and smiles are more of a gift than anything else. People get so caught up in making this "the perfect time"...but you have to remember that perfection comes in times of imperfection..and sometimes mistakes, like the ruined cookie batter that becomes rolled cookie balls that you keep in the refrigerator...make perfection out of the imperfection and enjoy this year! That's my challenge to you this holiday season.

I used Strawberry Cupcake for this card. It was the perfect punch of color!

Remember CHOOSE JOY and have a great Tuesday!
