Say it Write: Boo!

Hello there! Sophie here and today, I'm sharing with you something fun I created for Halloween. While Halloween is not celebrated as widely here as it is in Singapore, I thought it would be fun to create something that not just fits in with the festival, but also serve as a fun and cute gift. So, that set the tone for these cute looking pencil toppers:

These little critters were really fun to create. I made three pom-poms, each of a different fluff level and went to town embellishing them with goggly eyes. For the spider, I inserted some pipe cleaners in the middle for legs and added a little bow for that additional touch of cuteness.

Once I was happy with how these looked, I hot glued them to the top of some pencils and they were ready to be given as gifts. You might even want to use these as embellishments on straws at a Halloween party or perhaps as a gift topper. The possibilities are endless! I hope you have some pom-pom critter fun!

Trick or Treat

Can you believe that next week is the first of October??  Not me.  Crazy how fast this year has gone!  Amber with Best Stamped Intentions here with some fun Halloween inspiration.

October = Halloween, where all of the cute little goblins and ghouls come out requesting candy.

It's really not a secret among my friends and family that Halloween is NOT my favorite holiday.  However, in our new house, I have a mantle that's begging to be decorated.

So, for my first DIY project in the new house, I've made a cute little banner that I've hung across the mantle.

The letters were a pre-made kit that I found at Michaels, as well as the ghosts.  The ghosts were solid white, so I took a black sharpie to them to draw their eyes.  I used a small hole punch on both sides of their head to string the Halloween Combo twine through so that I could hang it up.

All of the Halloween colored twine is on sale for $4.50.  Trust me when I tell you it's SO fun to craft with!!

PlanNERD Sunday: September Monthly Page

Hello there! Sophie here and today, I'm sharing my monthly page for September.

Every month, I ask myself, " where has all the time gone?" And I really have no answer. Am thankful that I have my planner with me to make the most of what is given to me and for this month, I went with a predominantly orange spread.

For the top of my page, I used a calendar die cut from Maya road and embellished it with some lovely twine and a stamped image. I also decided to have fun with my markers by writing the number nine here.

I decided to stamp those big floral circles from the Camera Stamp Set "Oh Snap" in the background for each day's square. To prevent this from dominating the writing space, I used a lighter toned ink and a grey pen to write the date for each square.

For the bottom of the page, I had some fun embellishing with a doily, a sticker arrow and the balance of my calendar die cut and stamped image.

I hope September has been fruitful for you thus far. Seize the day!

Halloween Pumpkin with Witch Hat

Hi everyone, Maria here from Maria Lina's Creative Designs. Hope you all had an amazing summer. Now that summer is almost over, it's time to start enjoying this beautiful fall weather that's approaching. For my project today I made a Jack O' Lantern with a witches hat, it can be used to carry treats or for some home décor, I'm using it as home décor.

You can find this file at SVG Cuts, it's from the Haunted Forest kit. I had so much fun putting this together, I used the "Orange Licorice" Timeless Twine, some lace, rhinestones, black glitter and a glittery spider. I love how pretty and spooky it turned out.

Enjoy...

Birthday 3d box

Debbie from Craftin' Chaos here and this week we are focusing on Birthdays. So I decided to make this cute box from svgcuttingfiles.com and use the Chocolate chip twine to hang around the giraffes neck. The sentiment is from Bella Creationz "Happy Days" stamp set. The twine is Chocolate Chip

I also used some sequins from the store Metallic Brown and I added some yellow that are not on the site.

Paper I used was all American Craft Textured except for the Kraft base for the box.

I love this silly giraffe!

Tworrific Two!

Hi there! Sophie here and I'm going to admit here that I often find myself playing catch-up in terms of my scrapbook pages. My little one is five this year and here I am, scrapping about her second birthday. =) Happy that I got round to it finally. So here it is:

I kept the cake topper from the birthday celebration and decided that it would be a good idea to scrap the page around it. I have been hoarding Crate Paper's Pretty Party collection for many years now, and decided that it was only appropriate that I used it for this page.

To add on to the celebratory mood on this page, I created a mini tassel bunting at the top of the page using raspberry lemonade twine and lemonade yellow twine. To unify the entire effect, I decided to pull two strands of the same twines across the bottom of the page. Adding some sequins added the much needed sparkle here.

And just like that, I'm so glad I get to tick this layout off my to scrap list and even happier that all these gorgeous twine made the job so much easier. Perhaps you might like to scrap a birthday page too? =)

47 Has Never Looked So Good

Good morning!  Amber from Best Stamped Intentions with you here today. :)

On Tuesday, we celebrated my handsome husband's birthday early since he has to work on his actual birthday.  47 has seriously never looked so good. :)

The Timeless Twine by Bella Creationz theme this month is "Birthday" so what a perfect opportunity to use their awesome products to make a fun pocket layout.

I used Aqua Blue and Raspberry Pink (which all rolls are on sale for $8!!!!) for the swirls on the title card.  The cute little silver stars sequins are coming soon, but there's many other styles available in their shop! And, my go-to journaling card, Days of the Week.
