Love is You & Me

Heyyie guys! Saying "Hi!" all the way from sunny Singapore! It's Cassandra Chen with my first DT post and I'm really excited about it!

Now that Valentine's Day is nearing, I hope this project will give you more ideas on how to use the very awesome and yummy Timeless Twines!

I used Timeless Twines in 3 ways for this project!

First, the twines were used to replace my embroidery threads and I stitched the word "Love" on the cardstock with different coloured twines.

Then, I tied 2 small ribbons to the chipboard to add interest and contrast.

Lastly, I was inspired by the metal cans on wedding cars during weddings and tied the twines onto small tiny wooden spools and attached them to the back of the bicycle!

These are the different colours of twines I used in this project:

Have you created your Valentine's Day projects with twines? Share your project with us on Facebook! We would love to see them!! Or wanting to stock up on your supplies? Head over to our Bella Creationz

Thanks for dropping by and have a twine-filled day! Take care and stay warm!

XOXO,
Cassandra Chen

Our Family Layout

Good Morning!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today to share a layout I made.  I made this layout for one of my girlfriends.  I hope she likes it.

I used the Kraft Brown Twine to frame the picture. I also used some Aqua Blue Twine as accents on my layout.  I love the look of these two colors together.

I am giving you a flower

Well today I boo boo'd and forgot my post! I never do that I am really an OCD person and I am very organized so I will beat myself up for it the rest of the day!! But no worries I have something to share with you today.

I used the new color Cape Cod because I am in love with it and my dear friend Kristy send me the best paper pad from My Minds Eye that was just made for this twine.

I would have went more all out but again reading up above you see I was not prepared!! I hope you like it any how.

I took and made some round pieces of twine and tied the knot in the end leaving a tail to grab on to it with. I used my mixture of scotch quick dry glue and some water and put them in the pool. When I picked them up (of course they screamed "I don't want to get out of the pool yet" "can we stay a bit longer" so I had to bribe them with a Popsicle. I wringed the twine out and then layed it on my teflon mat to dry. I took that time to shape them how I wanted them. Of course I did the twisty twine on my skewer. Couldn't leave out the twists! In hindsight I wish I would have done them in green to use as leaves. I always do that after a project....smack my head like if I was mad I didn't have a V8 but just mad because I always think of other things to do AFTER the fact.

So here we are!! Hope you like it!

*{ ❤ Sweethearts & Twiney Things ❤ }*

It's creeping ever closer to Valentine's Day..which is crazy, because it seems as if it was just December...time is flying by...even if some days it seems to crawl by.

I have been hard at work trying to create different Valentiney things for my friends and family...crazy dogs, a wiley eight year old bossypants girl...and an ever-mood-evolving ten year old usually keep me from total creative bliss...as well as a husband who deems me forever face down in all of the technology that *HE* bought me!

Here's a peek of something I created especially for Timeless Twine...as I am in love with all of the twine that is available over at Bella Creationz...you will want them all!

Celebrate 8

Mandi here with another great card.Today's card is perfect for a girl's eighth birthday.
I used the pumpkin orange twine and crocheted it to form the number eight. You can find the instructions on how to do this here.

I used the graphite gray twine to create the border around the center paper strip. Where the ends meet I added a nice multi-layer bow that is made for the cape cod twine.

Thanks for stopping by and have a twine filled day. Mandi

Give a Little Love

Hello Friends!

Melissa here with my first solo project as a new Twine-ista!! I'm so excited to be here today and I hope you enjoy some eye candy!

So you should know that Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday to make cards and projects for! All the pinks and reds, all the lovely dovey mushy stuff makes me happy :) And twine makes little packaging stand out!

I'll share some twine tips along the way!

Above: Cherry Red twine with a glassine bag as a gift card holder. (PS-oddly, I had awesome lightly and the "love" sentiment isn't that bring in real life.)

Twine Tip: Have a hard time using ribbon? Too bulky? Too wide? Too much? Think twine! Perfect for bows and accents.

Above: Cherry Red twine (just the card with out a gift card).

Twine Tip: I recommend Helmar's Quick Dry 450 Adhesive for bulky twine embellishments. Or a hot glue gun.

Above: Chocolate Chip Twine & a glassine bag for treats or a love note!

Twine Tip: You don't have to go crazy with the twine, a little packs a punch too! Try paying attention to your embellishments that you can tie a quick piece of twine to!

Twine Tip: think wrap! You can wrap twine around anything!

My cute little "Ellie" is from Lettering Delights, this is such a great website for adorable SVG files. My little tag was cut and stamped using (Tiny Tags) from "My Craft Spot". For my card I decided to go with, Raspberry Pink Timeless Twine. There are so many beautiful shades of pinks and reds by Timeless Twine, I had such a hard time chosen one!! You can view all the colors on the blog by going to the shop tap at the top. Thanks to everyone for stopping by and taking a peak at my card.
