Cowboy Up!

HOWDY, Ya'll!!

It's Kristy here today (a little), but I'm here!!
Today I'm sharing with all of you this simple and easy layout!
This is perfect for any cowboy in your life! Shh... don't tell anyone, but I have to stage the photos for this layout. Hopefully my boys will go along with it!

For this layout I used the oh so fabulous Natural Twine. This twine is perfect for creating a knock-off rope effect for your layouts or cards!! For this layout I did just that. I wrapped the twine around the mat to give it the rope feel, and for the bottom mat, I tied the twine together to give it a knotted rope feel. That will be my journaling space or another spot for a photo. And... I won't have a title for this layout until I get my photos. My titles don't usually come to me until I see the photo and say "Hey... that's it!"

AND... don't forget about the awesome new colors that were JUST released!!!

Hope you all have a twine-tastic!!!

*{sending prayers}*

Good morning! I know the title is kind of a bummer...but we've all been there. Sometimes you're the one who needs prayers, and other times you're the person feeling helpless, not knowing what to say. It's simple...there are never words that are profound or fixable when someone you care about is grieving. Send your prayers. Prayers do make a difference. They are heard and answered. Here's a card I created for my Auntie Sandy and Uncle Alan. It's simple, but speaks volumes. Thanks for letting me share with you today.

Have a great Tuesday!

Stitched Layout

Mandi, Kraze of MJ, is here today to share with you a layout that uses twine stitches. These photos are 20+ years old. I am glad that I was able to create this fab page with my favorite embellishment, TWINE.
I just got a stitch template and I have fallen in love on how I can create twine stitched shapes. I ended up figuring out if you lightly stamp an image on the project and go back with a paper piercer (or if you're like me a push pin will do). All you have to do is space the holes far enough apart so you don't tear the paper.
I used Lemonade Yellow and Aqua Blue for the sewn shapes. I Cape Cod Yellow for the wrap under the photos.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you try sewing on your next project. Than. you will see how addicting it is. Don't forget about our current challenge. You can find all the info here.

Hay there!

Hello Timeless Twine Fans.. Annette here with you today to share another way you can add twine to your cards.
On this card I took 6 cuts of Chocolate Chip Brown twine and tied a few knots. I wanted it to seem as it was holding the image like a wall hang. I think I got the look I was looking for. I love the look and will do it again.
Another simple but fun way to use Timeless Twine on your projects.
Stop by the Bella Creations online store and stock up now.

Have a crafty fun day.

Gorgeous Layout

Happy Thursday!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here with you today.  Aren't you excited that it's almost Friday?  I am. I don't know about you but there aren't very many pages in my scrapbook just about me.  I think there should be a couple, Right?  I took this picture of myself on New Year's Eve last year.  It's my husband's favorite picture of me.  He says I'm gorgeous.  Awww!  Okay now enough of the mushy stuff.  Here is my layout.

I used the Beautiful Purple Passion Twine on my layout.  I made the hearts & swirly background myself using my Cameo.  I then cut it out and added the pink polka dot paper behind it.  I used Tim Holtz' Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac to shade all around the hearts and swirl.  I did all the inking before I took it off my mat, it was a lot easier that way.

The title is from the online silhouette store.  In the picture below you can see the twine looped around the heart.  After I glued the heart down I just let the twine fall the way it wanted and then glued it down.

This heart is one of the hearts that was cut out of the background.

I hope you like my layout.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great day!!

Melisa

Hi Sweetie!

Hello everyone, Brianna here from Happy Scrapper. I decided to role with the whole Christmas in July thing and share with you a Christmas card I made. I was super pumped that I finally got to break out my Christmas twine!! Here is the card I made..

I used the middle one- Christmas Twist
Isn't this such a sweet card, I guess any card is sweet when combined with the cuteness of Peachy Keen Stamps. This little penguin is from the July SOMK 2013 along with the sentiment.
I just LOVE the Cherry/Olive Christmas Twist, the colors are just so rich and vibrant!! I think the twine goes perfectly when paired with my little joy button and gingham ribbon. I hope you all enjoy this sweet little Christmas card,  remember its never to early to get a head start working on them. Have a sweet day everyone!!

Just For You...

Hey Twine-fanatics!!

It's Kristy here sharing a fun, but very simple card with all of you today!

This card was super simple and fun to create. I used an SVG from Scraptastical Kreations for the kite, and I just added some amazing Timeless Twine for the kite string. I really wanted to add a cute little face to my kite, but my PK stamps are MIA!!

The Graphite Grey was PERFECT for kite string! You can grab some of the graphite grey on the Timeless Twine website

Thanks for taking a peek at my card today, and I hope you all have a twine-tastic day!
